What our diners have to say…
Fine dining on the Eastern Continental Divide
My wife and I had dinner with my brother and my father at the Madison last Friday evening. While the four of us are discriminating diners, my brother takes that to a higher level. This said, all four of us had a fantastic dining experience. My brother and dad both had fish. They both live in Florida, which we are all four natives from, and all of us appreciate fresh seafood. The grouper which they ate was fresh and perfectly prepared. My wife absolutely loves shrimp scampi, and the scampi which they served her was delicious. I had the roast porkloin with the pecan sauce, and it was perfect. The service was excellent and the ambience was an unexpected delight in Ridgecrest. Whether going to Maggie Valley or Beech Mountain in my future travels to Western NC, the Madison restaurant and lodging will be on the itinerary! – Peter H.
Charming, Intimate, Romantic
“This is a beautiful gem in the Forest! I had the filet (small portion was just right) with a lovely mushroom risotto and the best vegetable medley ever, with a nicely priced yummy malbec. Highly Recommend.” – PMackie
Excellent Choice in Black Mountain
“Beautifully decorated with ceiling lights, cloth table linens and a fireplace. Service is intimate and great selection of food with portion choice. Bring a big appetite if you want the larger choice of pecan crusted pork as you’ll get two big chops. I loved the panko crusted grouper with the key lime sauce and mushroom risotto! Homemade veggie soup came with meal and loaded with veggies. Pumpkin butter was a nice treat with the warm loaf of bread. Pinot grigio was recommended and good for with the grouper.” – Cindy G.
